Wake
Robin Farm
is a small, family farm located in Central New York, owned and
operated by Bruce, Meg & Hugh Schader. We are located about
twenty minutes west of Syracuse, and 10 minutes away from Auburn
or Skaneateles. We are five miles from the Weedsport exit of
the NYS Thruway, and three miles north of State Route 5, just
outside the village of Jordan.
Our
farm consists of 75 acres of rolling farmland, and a herd of
about 35 Jersey cows. We milk about 12 cows year-round. We move
our milking cows into fresh pasture twice a day during grazing
season, we feed organic grain in the barn year round, and we
make hay for the winter without the use of chemical herbicides,
pesticides, or fertilizers.
All
of the milk that goes into our products is produced by our own
cows, on our family farm. We process our milk several times
a week in small batches. Our products are made by hand in our
farmstead creamery, and we do not add thickeners, stabilizers,
or artificial flavors to our milk, yogurt or cheese.
Our
family enjoys working together, taking care of our land and
animals, producing healthy food, and getting to know the people
who eat our products.
