Wake Robin - A Family Farm

Wake Robin Farm is located in Central New York, about five miles south of the NYS Thruway, and three miles north of State Route 5.

We began our farming adventure in 1999 as a vegetable and cut flower farm. For several years, we operated a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Then, in 2006, we decided it was time to return the farm to what it was meant to be: a small dairy! We assembled a small herd of Jersey cows and built a New York State licensed dairy processing plant on our farm. We started in 2006 with 4 cows and a yogurt recipe. Since then, our herd has grown to 12 milking cows and 13 heifers, and we've expanded our product line to include bottled milk and artisan cheeses.

Our farm consists of about 45 acres of rolling farmland. We move our cows into fresh pasture twice a day during grazing season, we feed organic grain in the barn year round, and we make hay for the winter on neighboring fields. We do not use herbicides or pesticides on our farmland, and we do not add thickeners, stabilizers, or artificial flavors to our products.

Our family enjoys working together, taking care of our land and animals, and producing healthy food. Processing our milk on the farm allows us to participate in the entire life cycle of our products, from growing the grass that feeds our cows, to meeting the local consumers who eat our products.
